Contribution request

Hi! I'd like to contribute debian testing automation

I have an idea of using my own tool to run automated tests for Debian
OS packages - e.g. installing packages on Debian distro, checking them
successfully configured, checking that related service is running,
smoke tests on running services. There is a good experience with using
the tool for other Linux distros, It'd be interesting to see it with
Debian OS which is a big distribution containing a lot of packages ...

I have gone through existing tools on https://qa.debian.org/ pages, I
have not found as I believe similar tools here, I believe this might
be a good addition

Before giving any details, I'd like to answer if there is room for
such a tool in Debian QA space?
