Yes, I would be interested in adopting mono in Debian.

To be clear, I am still working toward Debian Maintainer status, so at
least initially I would need sponsorship for uploads.

I also do not want to overpromise :)  My near-term goal would be pragmatic
maintenance and stabilization work, starting with concrete regressions
such as #1135240, and then continuing with bug triage and package
health improvements from there.

If that sounds like a useful direction, I would be happy to take the
next steps to adopt the package formally.
