Just a note:

I think the 'dw' commands can be replaced with the --extra-depends 
option of 'nmu', like

     nmu libpdl-fftw3-perl_0.204-1 . ANY . unstable . -m "Rebuild against PDL 2.106" --extra-depends 'pdl (>= 1:2.106-1)'
     etc.

and the 'nmu' commands could also be summarized in one (which makes 
it a bit long in this case):

     wb nmu libpdl-foo-perl libpdl-bar-perl […] . ANY . -m "Rebuild against PDL 2.106" --extra-depends 'pdl (>= 1:2.106-1)'
