According to my personal policy[TM] I don't include patches for issues 
in the texmf tree, unless they cause RC issues anywhere else. Please put 
the modified sty file into your local texmf tree and wait for the next 
tl-nonbin upload, which will happen mid / end of July.

As the fix is on CTAN, I tag that bug as fixed in upstream.
