I don't see the benefit of that, because such a candidate must have been
sufficiently disinterested to find it acceptable if no candidates step
forward (because that is someone else's problem), yet feel strongly
enough about another candidate that they suddenly decide that the time
commitment of being DPL is so insubstantial that they can decide that on
a whim.

I don't think we have to cater to people who are expressing unspecified
"concern." Either there is an issue, or there isn't.
I don't see one, and intend to vote the same way as in the last two
elections, with Sruthi in top position.
