Even though I very much liked that article (even reviewed it at my blog¹
and for ACM's “Computing Reviews”²), that does not make it a better word
than other technical terms describing conditions that have fell out of
favor because they have spread more as derogatory terms than anything
else.

Technical terms or not, words like this carry a heavy load, and will make
supporters of bullshit-generating systems feel mocked upon.
