By the way, this is exactly what I am fearing when I mention the 
"editorial changes" effect we had two decades ago: We are under high 
risk accepting a harmlessly sounding GR option that leaves too much room 
for interpretation which will then be used by the exclusionists to force 
contributions out of Debian.
