Description : Software modem for the Amateur Radio Digital Open
Protocol (ARDOP)

ardopc is a software modem for the Amateur Radio Digital Open Protocol
(ARDOP).

Combined with other software, such as pat, it allows sending email via
shortwave.

- This package is relevant as pat is in the repos and can use ardop, but
this currently requires users to compile it themselves
- After packaging ardopc, pat should be made to "recommend" ardopc
- There is currently no other ARDOP modem implementation that is
packaged, AFAIK
- There is also a fork which seems to get more development, but I am not
sure whether that would be a better option for packaging, I'll leave
that for others to decide: https://github.com/pflarue/ardop/
- Putting the Debian Hams packaging team mailinglist into CC, perhaps
they are interested in packaging ardopc or know someone who might be
- Upstream also has this website:
