  This library implements the eISCP protocol used by network-capable Onkyo AV
  receivers.
  .
  It communicates with receivers on a local Ethernet or Wi-Fi network, sends
  receiver instructions, and parses responses and status messages returned by
  the device. The protocol is used by compatible Onkyo equipment for commands
  such as querying state and changing receiver settings exposed by the device.

This library is a dependancy of Home Assistant, the Python smart home platform.
I plan to maintain it as part of the Home Assistant team.
