Hi,

While looking through the WNPP list for packages to help with, I noticed
that ttf-ancient-fonts is now a transitional (dummy) package. The actual
content was renamed to fonts-ancient-scripts and fonts-symbola, both of
which are maintained by the Debian Fonts Task Force with active uploads
(most recently 2.60-4 in 2025).

Since ttf-ancient-fonts no longer carries any real functionality and exists
only to smooth the upgrade path for users of older versions, it doesn't
seem like it actually needs adoption anymore -- the maintained package is
fonts-ancient-scripts.

Could this RFA be closed as obsolete, or reassigned/retitled if there's
still something relevant to track?

Thanks,
Juan Pav=C3=B3n
