Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name : audiowmark Version : 0.6.5 Upstream Contact: Stefan Westerfeld <[email protected]> * URL : https://uplex.de/audiowmark/ * License : GPLv3 Programming Lang: C++ Description : commandline tool for audio watermarking Audiowmark is an Open Source (GPL) solution for audio watermarking. Audio watermarking is the process of adding a message to the sound that is undetectable to the human ear. It is one way to prove authorship of the marked content. This tool allows to embed an inaudible 128-bit message in media files in a robust and secure way. It uses forward error correction to ensure that even a damaged watermark can still be decoded, so the watermark survives lossy compression (mp3/ogg). Informal listening tests were conducted, almost all users do not perceive the difference between original and watermarked signal. Audiowmark can also be used when live when streaming content a watermark can be added to the audio on-the-fly. -- This is the only freely available software that can reliably watermark audio. An optional GUI, which depends on the CLI, is available from https://github.com/huddx01/audiowmark-desktop
