Installing bzip2

Please help me. I can't install bzip2 in my nokia n900. When i run 'apt-get install bzip2' an error appears saying the package is not available and its referred to another source or it has been obsoleted. I wanted to install nitdroid but i cant since this important package is missing. Or is there a way i can install bzip2 manually? If so, please guide me step by step how to do it.
