Re: firmware download

Thank you, I downloaded the during installation required files
rtlwifi/rtl8723befw.bin and rtlwifi/rtl8723befw_36.bin from
Github - however putting the new one (version 36) into /lib/firmware/
... brought the message in /var/log/syslog: "firmware is
too big" ... strange effect.

does anyone have an explanation?

The URL you used contains "squeeze" as distribution name, while you want
buster.
So:
