My point is removing the stable link.
Or we should rephrase it, because "version for current
release" is not definite: "testing" is also a "release".
(Looking at https://www.debian.org/releases it reads 
"Debian  always has at least three releases in active maintenance:
stable, testing and unstable.")

So that should be "version for the current stable release",
if we keep that link.
