i believe commitid 84eda68 in the 5.9.2 release introduced a bug in fai-divert: `command` is a bash builtin and fails when used with `chroot`. one result of the bug is that the `fai-divert -R` at the end of the install fails to run and the fai-created `/usr/sbin/policy-rc.d` is left in place post-install. noticed this when i unexpectedly started receiving messages along the lines of: invoke-rc.d: policy-rc.d denied execution of restart. i just tested and sent in a pull request[1] to revert the commit, but if you've installed systems w/5.9.2 you may want to check around a bit. andy 1. https://github.com/faiproject/fai/pull/98 -- andrew bezella <[email protected]> internet archive
