Multiple kernel append parameters?

Hello again,

how do I specify multiple kernel append parameters in the fai-chboot
command line? 
 -k "foo bar" tells me to read the manual page, instead of creating the 
pxelinux.cfg file...
 -k "'foo bar'" would use "foo" but complains that is doesn't know the
host "bar".
There must be a trick, no?
