Urgh... Stupid me: forgot about hooks.

BTW, the problem that triggered my request was an install on a machine 
partitioned for Windows, so neither LVM nor MDRAID were involved but FAI 
failed repartitioning it. Once run "wipefs -af /dev/nvme0n1" and 
rebooted, it worked.
