No matter how I try I have "KDE Autorun Server" start on KDE startup always. I have it disabled, but nevertheless even if I click the icon in the tray and hit quit it would exit, but would load again next time. It also seems to be accessing disk every second or maybe even more often (at least led blinks), since this is a laptop I am afraid it may cause higher power consumption. Another problem I am seeing ever since I upgraded to orth packages and now with as packages cpu consumption sometimes goes to almost 100% (they are consumed by the following three processes: kdeinit: kded kdeinit: kwin -session 117f0000010001044487747000000 and /usr/X11R6/bin/X :0 -dpi 100 -nolisten tcp vt7 -auth once this starts the only way to stop it seems to be restarting KDE. It also appears that this happens more with 2.4 kernel than with 2.6 (but I am not sure there is a link) Any ideas on what can be done? Fedor
