dependency problems with cm packages

I'm trying to install the cm packages on a new system.

There seems to be a dependency problem with libcupsys2. It doesn't
exist in unstable anymore and the packages listed as replacement don't
satisfy the dependency requirements.

Normally I can resolve these by a manual install of a package or 2 with
dpkg and --force-depends but I can't seem to get enough of the core kde
packages to install up to a level where apt-get doesn't just remove them
due to broken dependencies.

I've also tried going into my available package list and removing the
libcupsys2 from the depends section but I guess its stored in several
places cause I still get the problem.

How do I fool apt-get/dpkg into thinking this package is already
installed or go about solving the dependency issue?
