Logs not on Standardoutput??

Hi,

I'm remastering Knoppix...
I wrote a Script, that starts my iptables-Firewall. Droped packets are 
logged (iptables .... -j LOG). But the Log-Output is printed to 
standardoutput instead of to /var/log/messages!!!
I also started the syslogdaemon before but nothing changed.

How can I acchieve it, that the LOG-Output isnt printed to stdout, but 
in /var/log/messages??

my bootoptions: knoppix26 2 nodhcp
