Now if you would be a bit more precise about what you tried and what
failed (and how) that would help your helpers...

"get installed" obviously means "install on HD" - I suppose you can
start Knoppix from CD and run it without problems? (If not, go back to
the Knoppix cheat codes and try to suppress some of the default settings
- hint: no* options to kernel boot line.)
Which version of Knoppix? Which installer?

Please give some more details
