help with format

I have a new HDD but it had WINXP on it. I have formatted it and now the
disk is clean. BUT it is an NTFS drive!  I tried to do 'KNX-HDINSTALL'
but no luck. I am assuming because it is an NTFS file system. Is there
anything I can do to revert that drive to a FAT16/32? Please help!
