I vote for dumping LaTeX

Since everybody else seems to be chiming in with their opinions...

I know that people who use it tend to really, really use it, however,
I've been a UNIX programmer/sysadmin/user for almost 20 years and have
never touched it.  I wouldn't even notice were it gone from the distro.

Also, I think that Klaus has built a great distro and should have the
final say on what stays and what goes.
