I even made a new > one. Same results. Your soundcard has an identity crisis and thinks it is an SCSI card. Try booting with knoppix noscsi or some of the other no*-Options that are mentioned in knoppix-cheatcodes.txt on your CD. Unless the "jibberish" you also mentioned is some important error message. Then maybe, you did not tell me the whole truth, and what I said may be totally wrong. ;-) Regards -Klaus Knopper
