Yes, it works :-) Just making the iso (a litte bit bigger). It was sooo
easy, I did not took that into consideration:-(
Then I used:
 dvd+rw-format -f /dev/sr0   # to format a DVD+RW
 growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/sr0=KNOPPIX_V3.4-2004-05-04-DE.iso 
to burn the DVD.
 apt-get install dvdrtools dvd+rw-tools  
has been used to install the neccassary tools
