Try to remove all ppp config=2E=20
#/etc/wvdialconf
#vi /etc/wvdial=2Econf
#wvdial
If there is  problem, check
# route -n

Are you seeing the ppp0 entries=2E And are the eth0 entries OK=2E There sh=
ould
be one incoming and ourgoing ppp0 entries=2E, one for 127=2E0=2E0=2E1 and=
 one for
eth0=2E
Else

#route add -net =2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E
#route del -net =2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E=2E

Now you should get the internet browsing OK with knx-hdinstall=2E

Or may be it is something else in your case=2E

Subject: [debian-knoppix] ppp problem

I'm getting "Failed to connect to server pop3=2Eontera=2Enet" trying to us=
e=20
my dial-up account from knoppix 3=2E4 (hard-disk install)=2E What did I=20=

change before the problem started? Well, I tried to configure eth0=2E What=
=20
that has to do with the dial-up device I can't imagine=2E The server is=20=

fine -- I'm emailing from my account from another machine=2E

At one point it was reported that another pppd process was running=2E I=20=

did kill -9 [PID} on several pppd processes=2E

At another point I got

PPP Log
/var/log/syslog=2Eppp
/var/log/sylog
/var/log/messages

I'm connected but the server connection fails (whatever the difference=20
is) -- by my email browser or webmail -- so it really does seem to be=20
the server -- but it's not as I am able to access it from my other machine=
=2E

Chris
