Editors (was Re: unbreaking LibreOffices tests on at least release architectures)

I'm just a regular user, but I try to use m68k, ppc32, ppc64 and sparc64
systems whenever possible. Unfortunately, none of them is more than a
hobby for me at this point. If I need to use a text editor, I'll
generally use vi (or pico if vi isn't available):

vi:

abiword:

  RSS: 113 MB

LibreOffice:

I don't have any m68k systems with more than 136 MiB memory, and I don't
run X on any of them (other people may have different experiences, but
at 33 MHz or less, text-based is all my m68k systems can handle). While
my ppc32, ppd64 and sparc64 systems have enough memory to handle abiword
or LibreOffice, I don't need to use anything except vi or pico on them,
either. If a Windows user sends me a .doc, .docx, .xls, etc. file, then
I'll use LibreOffice on a 64-bit Intel Mac to open it in Mac OS X,
Devuan, or Debian.

My point is that it makes sense to use whatever editor works for your
systems and environment. I wouldn't want or expect Mac OS X to run on
early Macs, even if it could, and I only use LibreOffice on systems
(such as Intel Macs) that are fast enough and have plenty of memory. YMMV
