Hello,

It appears that dump is not working in Debian SID m68k (including in QEMU):

root@m68k:/data# dump 0sbf 999999 64 dumpfile.dmp /dev/sda5
DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Sat Aug 3 14:41:04 2024
DUMP: Dumping /dev/sda5 (an unlisted file system) to shit.dmp
  DUMP: Label: Gentoo-m68k
  DUMP: Writing 64 Kilobyte records
DUMP: mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
  DUMP: mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: estimated 2423885 blocks on 0.13 tape(s).
DUMP: Context save fork fails in parent 912

Please let me know whether this error is already known, or if I should
submit a bug report to Debian.

As a workaround, dump works on other platforms (such as x86_64), so it's
possible to use those platforms to backup m68k filesystems.

thanks
