Meaning of large addends

Greetings!  On rare occasion, only with optimization, gcc will write
relocs with huge addends like this:

0000000000003368 ELF_LITERAL       Cnil_body+0x6000000000000000
000000000000336c ELF_LITERAL       Cnil_body+0x6000000000000000

Does this have some special secret meaning to ld, or is it intended to
be taken as written?
