Forgot to say that all other amd64 computers at the same router have no such problem. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Francesco Pietra <[email protected]> Date: Thu, Aug 8, 2013 at 5:43 PM Subject: unable to enumerate USB device To: amd64 Debian <[email protected]> Hello: My CPU-GPU server amd64 wheezy, when connected or disconnected from the router raise hub 5-1:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 3 Which occurs at no end. I tried (se superuser) "update-usbids", which saved to /var/lib/usbutils/usb.ids.new , but the problem persisted. Thanks for advice francesco pietra I begin to be submerged by too much automatisms, which is for me difficult to suppress, like gnome (when I open X11 for graphics) tying to do much that I don't need.
