Hi Francesco, which filesystems do you use on these installations? It is possible that the checks are disabled. You can check this via 'tune2fs -l' and look for the parameter 'Maximum mount count'. Disk checks are disabled if this parameter is set to '-1' or '0'. Another possibility might be the usage of ext4 on squeeze and something else on wheezy. In ext4 disk checks are (I think) disabled by default (see http://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/437298-fsck-not-needed-ext4-filesystems ).
