I forgot to mention that

---changing in /etc/lvm from "use_lvmetad=1" to "use_lvmetad=0"

or commenting out in /etc/defaut/grub

---# GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet"

did not solve the problem
