Hi:
My question is whether the nvidia-toolkit could be removed from the
installation of stretch amd64. I use GTX 680  for only number crunching,
not development.

If so, there is any special protocol for removing the nvidia-toolkit
withouth harming the GTX680 functionality as above said.

The reason is that updating/upgrading of the nvidia-toolkit takes so long.
