I was confused by the last update date of acpi-call-dkms (22 Feb)
and thought my issue was triggered by a new update of acpi-call-dkms.
But I see now that was 22 Feb 2023, two years ago, so the problem must
not be acpi-call-dkms on its own. Hence downgrading severity.

I found that acpi-call-dkms builds successfully again if I purge the
package and manually delete /var/lib/dkms/acpi-call/.
After reinstalling, it is building fine.

Perhaps the issue was a state glitch, perhaps a combination of the
recent (10 Feb 2025) update to dkms 3.1.5-1 combined with the new
6.12.16 linux kernel.

If no one else is reproducing the error then might as well close the
bug.
