Adding details not yet in this report that may help pinpoint the cause: Adapter: MediaTek combo Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, USB ID 0e8d:e025 On 6.12.88 the controller is present and unblocked (rfkill shows neither soft nor hard block, hci0 is listed), but bluetoothctl reports "No default controller available". dmesg shows the controller failing its init handshake: Bluetooth: hci0: Failed to send wmt func ctrl (-22) Bluetooth: hci0: HCI Enhanced Setup Synchronous Connection command is advertised, but not supported. Bisection on stock Debian kernels: 6.12.74+deb13-amd64 works; 6.12.88 fails. This is consistent with the reporter's "6.12.85 good", placing the regression after 6.12.85. The failure is exposed by a Bluetooth power-down (e.g. toggling the radio off in GNOME); a warm reboot does not recover it, only a full cold power cycle or booting an earlier kernel. There is an upstream btmtk change addressing this class of "Failed to send wmt func ctrl" failure (wrapping the shutdown path in usb_autopm_get_interface()/usb_autopm_put_interface()). I have not verified it is the fix for 6.12.88, so I offer it as a lead, not a confirmed fix.
