Package: src:linux Version: 6.12.94-1 Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected], [email protected] User: [email protected] Usertags: arm64 Hi, After rebooting into 6.12.94+deb13-arm64, I noticed my external USB SSD drive wasn't present anymore, I checked journalctl to see: Apr 13 19:38:08 pi.home kernel: sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] 3907029168 512-byte logical blocks: (2.00 TB/1.82 TiB) Apr 13 19:38:08 pi.home kernel: sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Write Protect is off Apr 13 19:38:08 pi.home kernel: sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Mode Sense: 24 00 00 00 Apr 13 19:38:08 pi.home kernel: sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Write cache: enabled, read cache: enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA Apr 13 19:38:08 pi.home kernel: sda: sda1 sda2 Apr 13 19:38:08 pi.home kernel: sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI disk Apr 13 19:38:16 pi.home kernel: sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Synchronizing SCSI cache Apr 13 19:38:16 pi.home kernel: sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Synchronize Cache(10) failed: Result: hostbyte=DID_ERROR driverbyte=DRIVER_OK Some quick searching revealed this could be due to a failing drive, but after booting back into my previous kernel (6.12.86+deb13-arm64), the drive came back and appears to be working fine again. I've checked the drive's health using smartmontools and everything seems okay, the drive doesn't seem to be failing at all. It doesn't support SMART self-tests, so I couldn't run any of those. I assume this could be an upstream bug but I can't find anything that matches my circumstances exactly. Drive is a Crucial X9 Pro 1TB Portable SSD (model: CT2000X9PROSSD9).
