Availability of GUI on Debian HURD / development of

Hello all,

OK, I am running Debian/HURD on kvm in Ubuntu to see whether or not I can
make any positive contributions.

I was able to start X on kvm, but of course X in and by itself is not yet a
GUI. Is there any desktop system available? In "apt" I can select
"gnome-classic" but then it cannot be installed because "Error: Unable to
satisfy dependencies".

I saw somewhere that there is a call for help with dhcpcd? Could that be an
option to learn development, or is too advanced?
