You really want > it. I've tried now with -smp2 -enable-kvm. Much faster. Thanks. I now get to the installation media mount issue much quicker. This time I used: * Text install * Language: English * Location: Ireland * Keyboard: German Still get the same issue. I've also tried the pseudo-graphical install choosing Germany/German. Same issue there. And just going with the default for everything (pseudo-graphical install, English, US). Same problem. By contrast, the Debian GNU/Linux x86 bookworm installer, and the OpenBSD 7.8 installer work fine for when I use them in qemu. Philipp
