That worked quite well. I was able to refresh the package list with no error after that. However, when conducting the “upgrade” command, things quickly derailed. I am now in a state where not even “perl” runs. # perl perl: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypt.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I guess I had just been too long since I had taken an upgrade and things are fragile as it is, without letting things lapse this long.
