A notable difference (aside from binutils) between the sid and stretch chroot is gcc-6, which is at version 6.2.1-5 in stretch and 6.3.0-2 in unstable. I couldn't test this combination (old binutils + new gcc) on the porter boxes though. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
