We have a similar problem in ngscopeclient, which also FTBFS on ppc64le 
because of or despite a horrible contraption[1] in the source code.

This one also uses termios2, which seems to be unavailable from any 
headers on ppc64el -- I wonder if we can make the kernel bring a definition.
