I tried to log in, but the system is not responding. It is frozen or not 
completely booted.

I tried installing and intermediate kernel after 6.5

Debian 6.12.6-1 (2024-12-21) ppc GNU/Linux


Appears to  boot fine, has console, wired lan and X starting.

Further testing in the coming days now that I "unlocked" the iBook
