Hi, as a work-around I have in my '/etc/network/interfaces': <...> iface enc42a inet manual pre-up znetconf -a 42a -o layer2=1 -o bridge_role=primary <...> The 'manual' part is in order to make the nic work flawlessy with openvswitch. I'm really looking forward to have 'chzdev' to have this kind of configuration identically on all distributions... Debian too deserves the full set of S390-tools, especially lszdef and chzdef. How can we otherwise define and configure persistent new networking devices in s390x ? Thanks, Peter J.
