This smells like endianness: all of those architectures are 64-bit
big-endian, as opposed to powerpc (32-bit BE), amd64/arm64/etc.
(64-bit LE) and armel/i386/etc. (32-bit LE). Some endianness bugs only
manifest on a specific word size.

In the same way, or in a different way? ppc64el is *not* BE, so I would
be surprised if it suffers from endianness issues.
