Sorry, I kind of mixed up a bit. So, due to some dependencies dropping support for lua5.2 I was seeing some failures.
Probably dropping support for lua5.2 here as well will be the fix for that. At the same time I am not able to see the
failure which was seen in https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=lua-system&arch=s390x&ver=0.6.3-1&stamp=1757666830&raw=0

[  FAILED  ] spec/01-time_spec.lua:18: Test time functions time() returns current time (875.57 ms)

was the result seen in CI in regards to lua5.4. But when I ran sbuild on my machine  on the latest version and I am able to see the test passing (for all lua versions).

[       OK ] spec/01-time_spec.lua:18: Test time functions time() returns current time (1873.98 ms)

Please write back if there is a difference in the result seen. I do have an s390x machine access and is happy to help.
