Solaris 11.4 requires SPARC T4 or later; the latest Solaris to support the T5240 was
11.3.

(Another possible test of the hardware is illumos as in Tribblix which works very well on
my T5140s - http://tribblix.org/download.html#sparc - or possibly OpenIndiana.)

Right. I forgot about that.

I have a copy of Solaris 11.3 though.
