@Jeremy:

Please don't mess with the partitioning layout and use the one suggested
by debian-installer. Using custom partitioning is recommend only when you
know what you're doing.

FWIW, the disk label is automatically determined by debian-installer
depending on whether the machine supports GPT or not. Unless you really
messed up, it should not use a GPT but Sun disk label.
