sudo is like su, only it asks you for your password instead of root's, 
and it is used to run one command as root, instead of just opening a 
shell as root. fakeroot was designed to be a drop in replacement for 
sudo for things that required root, but didn't really require root, 
like building debian packages.

if fakeroot isn't ported yet, then instead of `dpkg-buildpackage 
-rfakeroot` use `dpkg-buildpackage -rsudo`
