Hi,

i applied that (devuan's) patch and build deb package (including source
package). I am using it more than month and all works as expected.

If anyone is willing to prepare NMU, be free to use it:

https://debs.slavino.sk/pool/main/s/slim/

It will remain there, until package will be fixed...

regards
