non è proprio quello che intendi fare, ma puoi usare dei simulatori

di rete per fare anche cose che con l'hardware che hai a disposizione

non potresti.

Qui alcuni pacchetti presenti in Debian:

adios2-* <- Adaptable IO system for simulations
ns3 <- discrete-event network simulator for Internet systems
filius <- educational network simulator
nam <- Network Animator for network simulation

Magari qui puoi fare prove "distruttive" e quando hai imparato

applichi sull'hardware reale :-)
